Rediscover Appalachia is arts and culture based. It develops small businesses meant to attract new visitors to the region. The Saw’s Edge Woodshop, opened in July of 2015, is a living classroom where trainees learn fine woodworking and visitors can learn along side them.

Models enterprise development and entrepreneurial skills to encourage local business growth

The products made in the shop are sold for earned revenue. Betty and Joe’s Trout’s Hill Coffee Shop is a community coffee shop in a small town eager for new business. The coffee shop employs tenants of affordable housing located nearby.
